Film Title: My First War
How's tricks? Do you mean trix? Tasty goodness indeed.
Where did the idea for your film come from?
It came from what was happening in front of me. We
were about to go to a seemingly bogus war in spite of
a the world saying no, protests were engulfing the
streets, and it was imperative to me to document this
period of history.
What's the one thing you'd tell someone before they
see your film?

Day job: freelance documentary photographer
Hands down the most compelling film you've seen in the

I can't commit to hands down, but...compelling huh,
the other week I saw some footage, not a cut movie,
but raw footage of a prison in Australia that is
currently detaining hundreds of Afghan men women and
children who were trying to escape to Australia to
find a better life. The footage showed a mob of
protesters roll up to the prison, pry the bars open
and the prisoners squeeze through the bars, jump over
the prison gaurds and land into a crowd of Aussies. It
was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on a
screen.

Name & Email: Collar's Up Films www.collarsup.com
Age: 1 Year
Film Title:Girl Dick Movie
How's tricks? Tricks is good. We are four friends who make super-fun short films
together.
Where did the idea for your film come from?
We were trying an experiment where we aimed to make a film in a week
where each of us took on a different role -- editor, writer, director,
actor/producer (we picked our roles out of a hat). The editor, Matt,
gave the writer a word on a Saturday night -- in this case, PUBERTY. The
writer, Seyi, then had 2 days to write it (in this case clearly f-ing
with Lauren, the actor. Not funny, Seyi). He then passed it off to the
director, Alan, and producer, also Lauren, who had two days to figure
out how to shoot it. We shot on a Saturday (until 4 AM) and it was meant
to be edited that Sunday. That didn't happen, however, because we
realized on Sunday morning that none of us knew Final Cut Pro. Needless
to say, the film took more than a week to complete.
What's the one thing you'd tell someone before they
see your film?
That it was made in "a week." And that Lauren doesn't really have a
penis.
What are you working on now?
We just completed our website, www.collarsup.com, where you can see all
the films we've made both as a group and as individuals over that last
year. We also have two unfinished week-long projects that need to be
edited. Clearly, we get an N/I (needs improvement) on follow-through.
Day job: We all work in television for a small cable access network called MTV.
Hands down the most compelling film you've seen in the
last few years?
Girl Dick Movie. The issues addressed in this film affect teenage girls
every day, all over the world.
What are you reading?
Lauren - The New Yorker & Why Wait til Marriage
Alan - The Rules
Seyi - Movie scripts
Matt - American Gods
What are you reading in the bathroom?
Lauren: Extraordinary Chickens
Alan: The Rules 2
Seyi: Movie scripts
Matt: Whatever Seyi is reading in the bathroom.
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate. Vanilla. Chocolate. Chocolate.
Anything else you want to get off your chest?
Lauren: Um, I think there's plenty of my chest in the film.
